The FIFA 2005 Confederation Cup started today.
There are 8 teams in the cup: The best of all geographical areas of the FIFA world. My money to take the cup is Brasil, of course :) Even without Ronaldo.

BTW, I bought a new pair of
Copas and can't wait to try them out - I'm hoping it doesn't rain on our Wed's pick up game. I'm well aware that the Copas are a bit overkill for a pick up game, but hey, I have break them in at some point.

I got a chance to try my new cleats and found them to be more than adequate.
Everyone who uses Copas loves them and can't say enough good things about them.
There are however, some that have had problems with preassure from one of the studs around the ball of the foot. I shaved off a bit from the offending stud (as per my non soccer playing GF's sugestion) and the shoe feels great now.
A great pair of boots.
